food!

i love the crock pot! it cooks everything for you and all you have to do is throw everything in the pot. when you come home from work: presto! FOOD!
for those who care at all, here are some super easy recipes i found. i haven't tried them yet, but my turn to cook is manana, so i'll let y'all know.

BASIL CHICKEN

4 chicken breast -- skinned
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon basil
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 green pepper -- sliced

Place chicken breasts in slow cooker. Sprinkle with pepper and basil.

Spread soup on top of chicken.

Arrange slices of green pepper on top of soup.

Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours.

Serves 4.

CROCK POT ITALIAN CHICKEN AND POTATOES

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 C. Italian salad dressing

2 t. Italian seasoning

1 C. grated parmesan cheese

5 to 6 potatoes; peeled, cut into wedges

Place chicken in bottom of crock pot. Sprinkle with half Italian dressing, spices, and the grated cheese. Place potatoes over chicken. Sprinkle with remaining ingredients.

Cover; cook on low 6-8 hours.

the italian's okay. we had it tonight. i'm not used to italian-type flavor of the dressing vaariety though, so it was a little weird. but i'd eat it again yeah, maybe not on a constant basis, but...

hey, civ (if you happen to come back), what subject do you teach. oh, and i totally have you beat on cartoons. i've been up at 4 am watching dexter's lab and animaniacs. :,
